If there is one thing that Albert loves most of all, it is a good cup of tea. He often mixes his own blends from wild berries and leaves he has collected during his morning rounds.
In Albert’s kitchen pantry you will find tiny wooden drawers full of dried herbs and blossoms. From dandelion root to nettle and sweet elderflower, Albert loves inventing new recipes for every season.
As autumn arrives in Mimkin Hollow, Albert keeps an eye on the hedgerows for the very first glimpse of ripe rosehips and hawthorn berries. Once the fruit turns a rich ruby red, he knows the hedgerows are ready for harvesting. He dries the berries in the oven, then mixes them with orange peel, lemon zest and a spoonful of honey.
On cold, rainy days Albert loves nothing more than to sit by the fire with a teacup full of his favourite autumn blend.
