Every morning Albert sets off to deliver letters to everyone in Mimkin Hollow. There are many places he loves, from the wooden bench under the Really Big Oak Tree to Eleanor Puddifoot’s bakery, but there is one place he loves most of all.
The High Street.
On cold mornings he loves seeing all the colourful shops lit up with brightly decorated windows. Mr Amberwooly’s Toy Shop has a different treasure in the window each week, from shiny marching soldiers to miniature hot air balloons that really fly. Further along sits the sweet shop, with its glass jars piled high with toffees, chocolates and jewel coloured sweets.
No matter what the weather is like, Albert always smiles when his morning route brings him here.
